We have met our fundraising goal for 2009!
$5,000 in the bank to spay and neuter Ontario's feral cats. Thanks to the
support of our community, we are well on our way to our 2010 goal of another
$5,000!
That doesn't mean we are done! We can spay and neuter approximately 200
cats with the money you have contributed and the City has matched. There
are many more feral cats than that in Ontario, so we will keep on asking for
your support for this valuable and successful project.
In June 2009, the Ontario Budget Committee signed off on a proposal to set aside
$5,000 in the Ontario Police Department budget for a community-run program to
trap, spay or neuter and then return feral cats. A $5,000 match must be
provided from the community in order to implement the program.
S
pecial thanks to
the continued support our many contributors!
